Sandwich shop suspected of spreading E. coli

A sandwich shop has been temporarily closed because health officials in Colorado believe it is linked to an E. coli outbreak.

Eight customers of Jimmy John’s restaurant off the University of Colorado campus have contracted E. coli poisoning. All who got sick lived in the same sorority house.

Health officials said they closed the store as a precautionary measure but none of the employees have yet to be tested, according to AP.

These recent cases join a rash of E. coli outbreaks across the country. Nearly all are linked to food.
