den Dulk Poultry Farms has recalled several lots of organic eggs on fears they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The eggs have been distributed to Costco and Safeway stores in northern California and as far south as Fresno and western Nevada.
At Costco, the eggs are sold as Kirkland Organic Brown Eggs in 18-count packages. The cartons can be identified by the following IDs, an expiration date and Plant Code: April 1 062, 35 P1776; and April 8 069, 35 P1776.
At 71 Safeway and Pack n’ Save stores as O Organic Grade A Large Brown Eggs. They’re packaged in 12-count cartons. The expiration date and Plant Code are April 1 062, 35 P1776.
No illnesses have been linked to this contamination. The Salmonella strain was detected during an internal investigation at den Dulk Poultry in Ripon, Calif.
