A New Jersey company is recalling two lots of its Black Pepper because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.
There is no indication from Mincing Overseas Spice Company in Dayton, N.J., that this recall is related to several other recalls of Black Pepper.
The recall affects Lots numbered 3258 and 3309. The product was not available at the retail level. It was distributed to wholesale location in Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Wisconsin.
The recalled pepper was sold in 50-, 25- and 20-pound cartons with Mincing Overseas Spice Co.’s name on it.
Customers with any of these recalled products should hold it to the side and contact Mincing Overseas Spice Co. or their local FDA Recall Coordinator.
