Several Heluva Good cheese products are being recalled by the manufacturer because of a possible Listeria contamination.
According to a statement from HP Hood, the recall includes the following products:
8 oz. plastic cup containers of Heluva Good Port Wine Cold Pack Cheese Food
UPC 73570 55503
Sell by date between 11/15/2010 through 12/15/2010
8 oz. plastic cup containers of Heluva Good Sharp Cheddar Cold Pack Cheese Food
UPC 73570 55501
Sell by date between 11/15/2010 through 12/15/2010
These products were available at stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island.
The Listeria contamination was discovered at a Wisconsin facility that co-packs the Heluva Good and other brands of cheese.
HP Hood says no illnesses have been linked to this contamination.
