Nova Lox Salad recalled due to Listeria contamination

Kosher First LLC is recalling its Tuv Taam Salads Nova Lox Salad because it may be contaminated with Listeria bacteria.

Listeria bacterial contamination leads to Listeriosis, which can be fatal. Listeriosis has been blamed for miscarriages and still births and affects the very young and elderly most severely. Other symptoms include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea and diarrhea.

Routine sampling of the Nova Lox Salad discovered the contamination. The product included in the recall is packed in 17-ounce plastic containers and coded with a Sell By date of 12/03/2010. The product was available at COSTCO stores in New York and New Jersey.
