Vitalabs recalls Whey Protein Powder contaminated with Salmonella

Vitalabs is recalling certain lots of its Whey-26 Protein Powder because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.

The recall is limited to four specific Lots of the powder. Consuming this product can lead to symptoms of Salmonella poisoning, like fever diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. If untreated, these symptoms could require hospitalization.

The recall was enacted after the manufacturer of the whey protein took a similar measure recently.

Chocolate Whey Isolate: Lot Number 3477
Strawberry Whey Isolate: Lot Number 3364
