Mayfield Recalls Ice Cream Due to Ammonia

Mayfield Dairy Farms is recalling more than 14,000 1.5-quart containers of its Homemade Vanilla Select Ice Cream.

The ice cream may have been contaminated with ammonia.

The recall affects North Carolina only at this time.

The company says the ammonia can cause headache, nausea, vomiting and irritation of the throat.
